If you are unable to vote in person on Election Day, you may vote by Absentee Ballot.

The first step is to complete this Absentee Ballot Application Form.  You may also obtain an Application in person at Town Hall.  Next, submit your Application to:

After the Clerk has received your application, you will be provided with a Ballot once it is available along with instructions for its completion.  Completed ballots must be received by the Town Clerk in order to be officially counted.

Remember, there are DEADLINES for voting by Absentee Ballot.  In 2015, the following deadlines apply as set out in CT Statue:


Applications are available at this time

August 25th

Absentee Ballots become available for Municipal Primary Elections, if necessary

September 15th

Primary Election, if necessary

October 2nd

Absentee Ballots become available for Municipal Elections

November 2nd

Last day to issue Absentee Ballots for Municipal Election *

November 3rd


Absentee Ballots must be received by the close of polls - or sooner whenever possible.


* Under certain circumstances, Absentee Ballots may be cast and presented on Election Day to the Town Clerk.  Please call the Clerk's office at 860.434.1605 EXT 221 for more information.
